Wokingham Shop Challenge

Welcome to the first Wokingham Active Hub challenge

The past 12 months have been a very difficult time for our high-street, stopping this fast-paced hub of people and communities. The Million Metre team want to help raise awareness of the amazing shops and create a wellbeing challenge for those who support the community on a daily basis.

The Wokingham Shop Challenge will build team engagement, improve mental & physical wellbeing whilst adding that daily dash of healthy competition between shops.

The challenge will run for 8 weeks from 31st May until 25th July and will focus on walking and running. Through the sites automated link with Strava and Fitbit participants will see their activities linked directly to their team total helping push them up the leaderboard.

The shop to complete their Million Metres first will be rewarded with a £150 voucher to spend at a local pub*.

Lastly, if you’d like to raise money then why not link a JustGiving page to your shops challenge.

  • Split your business up into teams and set an ambitious target per team to achieve together
  • Set one target and let your employees pledge their own distance
  • Open ended distance – just set the timeframe
