The MMC team is made up of hundreds of individuals who support each other through this epic challenge. In the background, a small few are building the foundations to support the growing number of people taking part and developing new initiatives.
Tony is the founder of Million Metre Challenge and has made it his mission to get more people involved in the challenge following the personal benefits he gained when completing 1,000,000m on his Concept2 rowing machine back in 2017. Working within the IT industry and with three young girls, Tony is well aware of the strain of life which, if not managed can have a lasting impact. Having personally benefited from the challenge, Tony is on a mission to get 1,000,000 people taking part; whether individually, through school projects or colleagues wanting to take on a new challenge together.
In the background, Tony has a sudden death heart condition (Long QT Syndrome) and pacemaker implant which in his own words gives him that ‘little fire’ to push forward.
Kevin has a deep passion for fitness and can be found walking every morning around the Hampshire countryside with his wife Jen. Kevin’s ability to harness the power of technology has enabled the Million Metre Challenge to step change how it supports individuals, teams and companies in achieving their wellbeing goals.
Previously Head of Technology at Cheil Worldwide Kevin brings a wealth of experience ensuring the MMC maximises the use of technology and app integration.
James joined the MMC team to bring all the corporate & charity events to life. His background in high-end physical events enables him to ensure the customer requirements are achieved leading to a world-class delivery. Since joining the team James has set his own Million Metre Challenge to run 1,000,000 in 181 days!

Stef’s fitness journey is inspiring and started in the first national lockdown when he completed the Couch to 5k programme. Gaining an almost instant love for running Stef signed up for the Million Metre Challenge and completed it in 8 months. Within the final month Stef ran 3 half-marathons! Stef is now on his 3rd Million to keep the discipline and fitness up, but now has a new running companion - Henry to join him.
Peter is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and is on hand to manage all the numbers within the MMC. Most importantly Peter completed his first 1,000,000m cycling and now on his second million, but this time running.
