Taking on the Million Metre Challenge as an individual isn’t as daunting as it might sound. Irrelevant of your pace it is all about planning - whether doing it over one year or just a few months, it needs a plan.

The MMC team are here to help you with that plan and ensure you have absolute clarity on what is required throughout your journey.

To get started:

Step 1: Register with the Million Metre Challenge

Step 2: Set-up your personal challenge. There are 4 key elements:

  1. Distance (i.e. 1,000,000 metres)
  2. Activity (i.e. running - however it can be a combination of activities)
  3. Start Date
  4. Target End Date

Step 3: Set-up Strava or Fitbit(if using Garmin, Concept2 or others you’ll need to link them to Strava, you can read about this on the FAQ page)

Step 4: Link your MMC account to Strava or Fitbit

Step 5: Start and let the Million Metre team keep you on track!
